As someone who has been playing chess (and not too well) for years via the virtual world of my PS2.
It was nice to feel, touch and manoeuvre the pieces in my hand.
There is NO substitute for the tactile.
Plus, this set has the advantage of being able to be folded and the pieces being able to be stored, then put safely away.
The only advantage the virtual world version has over the real one is you can never lose a piece.
Which, alas, I have done many times from my previous sets.
This set is very good value.
